Ethereum served as a foundation in the world of smart contracts, but tons of other projects have come along, and they are there for a battle to take over this base layer. Polkadot is one of them.
Jutta Steiner, CEO of Parity Technologies, the company building Polkadot, discusses the issues they're trying to address with the Ethereum core protocol.
Steiner, whose company is working on making Ethereum more usable, said frustration is rising in the Ethereum ecosystem. “There’s a bunch of projects that have been frustrated that they couldn’t actually build what Ethereum has promised,” she said. “And when we started, there was always the idea that there are parts that need to be in place for it to actually deliver.”
